Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelder is currently searching for a Senior Water and Wastewater Design Engineer to join our Environmental Team in the Bowling Green, Ohio office. We will consider other locations in Ohio also.

Candidates must be experienced in the municipal water and wastewater field and must be a Professional Engineer registered as Civil or Environmental Engineers or a related field or have the ability to obtain registration within one (1) year. This position will mainly serve as project manager, design/treatment consultant and client contact for projects in our Water Resource Department. You will lead and manage the design, permitting, construction of client specific projects. In addition, you will expand your professional network via collaboration with peers and develop your career on both technical and business development fronts by leveraging our diverse portfolio of work and client across multiple geographies. Our water resource department is highly integrated group of professionals performing high quality of work for diverse clients by providing services including community/regulatory engagement, planning, design and construction.

The role will include working in our team-oriented environment providing our clients with professional engineering services for water/wastewater projects including studies, design, and construction administration.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience
  • Project Management Experience of 5 years desired
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations desired
  • Supervisory / Management experience recommended
  • Experience with Water and/or Wastewater Design
  • Follow company policies and procedures

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, or related technical field required.
  • Professional Engineer

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with underground utilities installation and/or Water / Wastewater treatment plant construction
  • A strong work ethic with excellent organizational, communication, computer and technical writing skills
  • Strong team building and communication skills
