Qualifications for Position:

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent

  • Data entry experience or strong keying skills preferred.

  • Previous Payroll knowledge helpful

  • Ability to understand English.

  • Strong mathematic skills

  • Basic PC Skills (Excel and DOS experience helpful)

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing

  • Detail oriented and ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify best practices and process improvements.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

About the Role:


The Time Card Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of time card data within the organization. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Time Card Specialist is responsible for reviewing, verifying, and correcting time card data to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Review time card data for discrepancies and inconsistencies, requesting clarification from employees or supervisors as needed. Advise supervisors of any issues that require further attention or resolution.
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of time card information using various software packages, ensuring adherence to established deadlines and guidelines.
  • Verify data entry accuracy through audit reports and cross-referencing with supporting documentation, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or errors promptly.
  • Correct data entry errors identified during the verification process or report them to supervisors for resolution, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding time card-related inquiries, issues, and resolutions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of time card data, audit reports, and related documentation, ensuring confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement within the time card management process, providing recommendations to supervisors for implementation.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively to meet established deadlines and service level agreements, ensuring timely completion of time card processing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to time card management, maintaining a high standard of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data entry, payroll administration, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data entry using various software packages, including Microsoft Excel and payroll software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify and correct errors promptly.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with employees and supervisors.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The pay range for this position starts at $17.00/hr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
