We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full-time Emergency Preparedness and Response Operations Lead in our Edison, NJ location. Reporting to the Emergency Preparedness and Response Manager, the EPR Lead supports the day-to-day management of the warehouse operations to improve readiness for deployment of the stockpile under the management of the NYC Department of Health (NYCDOH). The EPR Lead will manage special projects associated with management of the stockpile and will support warehouse operations during any emergency response.
Essential Functions:
  • Projects:
    • Assist with developing the scope of work, requirements, and quotes and procurement for any special projects.
    • Help manage projects according to the requirement and schedule.
    • Assist leadership with regular communication of the projects' status.
  • Day to Day processes:
    • Process any requests in a timely manner.
    • Audit stockpile receiving and delivery requests for accuracy.
    • Coordinate shipping requirements with transportation companies to meet trucking capacity and requirements, including specialized equipment needed to complete transportation requests.
    • Work with vendors and ensure clear communications and standard operating procedures are followed.
  • Inventory:
    • Ensure inventory is counted and updated correctly in the warehouse management system (WMS).
    • Inspect/rotate field operations equipment.
    • Audit/QC new items that are entered into WMS with proper information for accuracy:
      • Description
      • Proper unit of measure
      • Lot#
      • Expiration date
      • Specification sheet for item (with image when possible)
    • Emergency Response:
      • Ensure day to day warehouse and surge staffing is trained properly to assist with any processes.
      • Assist leadership with identifying staffing requirements during a response.
      • Lead team during emergency response when necessary.
    • Billing/Invoicing:
      • Track and report any hours used to complete NYCDOH functions.
      • Run inventory reports for monthly storage billing to NYCDOH.
      • Produce monthly invoices for NYCDOH and other invoices during emergency responses as required.
    • EPR Lead should be ready to assist with any CHS/NYCDOH requirements in absence of EPR Manager and any other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience required and in warehouse operations or distribution is preferred.
  • Excellent previous attendance history.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous in their attention to detail and follow-up.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage and report complex information.
  • Desire to grow professionally, develop new skills and willingness to work outside of comfort zone.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
  • This individual will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
