JOB MISSION:

Serve as an expert communicator, focused on internal communication for business critical initiatives by building and executing global internal communication plans which support the organization's culture and priority initiatives to inform, inspire and engage NB global associates.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Serve as the Internal Communication Team lead for business-critical communication plans

  • Develop and execute internal communication plans, including objective(s), strategies, key messages, tactics and content creation

  • Develop key messages, talking points and message briefings for key stakeholders, including at the executive level

  • Contribute communications related to crisis and issue management

  • Craft authentic and tailored narratives to advance business imperative initiatives

  • Build communication deliverables, including presentations, briefing documents, key messages and video scripts to support communication priorities

  • Develop and own detailed project plans to support communication goals and priorities

  • Contribute to short- and long-term editorial calendar planning by sourcing story concepts and content ideation

  • Grow, develop and foster deep-seeded relationships with cross-functional partner teams and a wide network of NB associates

  • Support key stakeholders' communication objectives and needs

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in related roles.

  • Ability to provide communication support and counsel to senior executives

  • Aptitude to protect sensitive and confidential information

  • Ability to utilize strong project management skills including managing multiple projects at different stages simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including copy writing/editing, storytelling and presentation development

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management, enabling work with multiple stakeholders, handle multiple projects - and meet new challenges - with composure and confidence

  • Experience with internal crisis communication, planning and execution

  • Proven success in building and measuring communication

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year.
