Job Purpose

This role is responsible for supervising and maintaining the plants Quality systems to ensure compliance to regulatory, federal, and local laws. Areas of focus will include the identification and achievement of facility Quality KPI's through appropriate corrective/preventive actions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Actively engaged support in planning, defining, and directing the site auditing control program to ensure compliance to all procedures, and policies, GMP standards, Kraft Heinz requirements, and regulatory, federal, and local laws.

  • Support Golden Rules and KHMS system including pre-requisite and operational standards.

  • Trains, mentors, and leads site Quality and Production team to ensure QMS (Quality Management System) goals are achieved. Monitors and maintains plant KHMS program by complying to current Kraft Heinz and International Audit (FSSC/ISO) standards.Facilitate Product Development Project and co-lead site cross functional team and participate with Kraft Heinz corporate to ensure success and compliance.

  • Ensure all Product-Process Specification/KPI/ KHMS/FSSC plans are maintained and achieved.

  • Support all internal and external inspections/regulatory visits. Support audit preparation activities, accompany inspector, and complete necessary immediate corrective actions and report.

  • Perform investigation and follow-ups to non-conformances found and collaborate with management team to provide responses as appropriate.

  • Facilitate Hold/Release documentation and dispositioning of products.

  • Complete validation studies for all CCPs, OPRPs and other significant controls in accordance with approved methodologies.

  • Ensures compliance to Golden Rules and other Kraft Heinz Quality system Policies through routine Performance monitoring, reporting, and trending compliance appropriately.

  • Provides expertise and actively participates in equipment commissioning and startup, ensuring standardization of all applicable quality and food safety requirements are met.

  • Adhere to approved change control procedures, to include reviewing partial HACCP plans and issuing Agile change requests, as needed.

  • Perform daily production record pre-shipment review and Finished product positive release.

  • Verify timecard for direct reports daily and perform GEMBA walk.

  • Attend daily cross-functional team meeting and lead quality meeting.

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Proven history of Food Safety and technical quality or production knowledge of policies & Haccp programs, USDA/FDA/religious regulation in Food or relevant manufacturing settings.

  • Education or Operational/On the job knowledge of Food Science, Food Production, Manufacturing Quality/Operations, or other relevant environments.

  • Strong leadership, technical, written, and oral communication and people skills required along with attention to detail.

  • Manage multiple assignments, develop work plans, & prioritize.

  • Knowledge of statistical processes.

  • Planning and organizing skills.

  • Successful candidates possess a positive focus toward solutions with emphasis on preventative pro-active measures and team building.

  • Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and all required overtime. Prompt and regular attendance.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position is considered a refrigerated/ambient Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment.

  • Must be able to work 2nd shift with potential for overtime days per management.(Including Weekends)

Physical Requirements:

Physical demands include but not limited to

  • Two-thirds of working hours will be personally "boots on the floor" monitoring all the production rooms and peripheral areas of the facility during your shift; Sedentary - occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs. of force, limited movement from workstation for brief periods of time.
