Step into Your New Role

The Bowling Green office is looking to hire a Revit Manager. The Revit Manager's role is to understand and communicate how Revit will affect project workflows,

deliverables and project management. The primary responsibility is to manage and coordinate Revit standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related Revit projects, files, and models, for all Revit user groups/disciplines. This will include the development of a work plan/roadmap for the development, implementation, and quality assurance checks needed for full Revit integration.

JOB DESCRIPTION

    Responsible for developing and implementing Revit workflows, best practices and standard usage of Revit
  • Oversee the use of Revit software Division wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all Revit installations as well as analyzing and solving Revit user issues
  • Provide end-user training, support, and leadership
  • Support project teams by
  1. manage and create content library files and templates
  2. create and enforce standards
  3. evaluate project models
  • Support project start-up coordination, help teams develop strategies for effective delivery of quality documents, and set-up each project, thereby ensuring that each one is set up correctly

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for Revit standards development, implementation, and enforcement
  • Creation and maintenance of the template files to assure standards
  • Provide quality control for completeness and adherence to company standards of all shop drawings produced
  • Assist in developing and enforcing Revit documentation and workflow process standards
  • Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of Revit users to ensure WE-OHIO standards are
  • maintained in the creation of Revit models Software
  • Coordinate with IT manager the selection of BIM software products, including but not limited to licensing compliance, incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software and customizing software for specific firm needs
  • Manage the implementation of supporting software and third-party plug-ins for Revit
  • Evaluate new Revit Versions, Add-in's & related software and technologies
  • Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit and BIM

Leadership

  • Chair Division Revit user group and ensure regular communication and coordination among Revit users
  • Report on the company's current and projected state regarding Revit implementation
  • Create and lead deployment strategies for the Revit implementation effort
  • Assess: Evaluate the firm's current workflow, strategies, budgets, projects, staffing, etc.
  • Plan: Create a plan for implementation (identify team members, what is the project, what are the goals, etc.)
  • Solve: Execute the plan, install the software, get templates created, get training, etc.

Training

  • Provide fundamental and intermediate training to Divsion staff in Revit & third-party add-ins, through a training program incorporating large group, project team and individualized training methods
  • Conduct continuing education on Revit processes and its new technologies
  • Provide technical orientation/onboarding to new hires regarding Revit
  • Attend conferences, seminars, and workshops on Revit, bringing back best practices and disseminating the information to appropriate teams

Project Interface

  • Assist project teams in Revit project setup, project work modeling and detailing
  • Assist/create Revit families in response to project need
  • Create project schedules with content
  • Help resolve Revit design issues
  • Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team
  • Coordinate needed hardware upgrades with IT

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years AEC experience with at least 3 years in a relevant field utilizing BIM/CAD technology.
  • Minimum Associates or completion of trade school or equivalent formal training
  • Ability to train effectively and tactfully, in-person and via web conference.
  • Extensive knowledge of Revit 2022 or newer version, considered a submit matter expert
  • Experience in electronic file transfers (email, SharePoint, etc).
  • Familiarity with the MS Office suite and other business software (Microsoft 365), AutoCAD 2022 or newer version, and Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD/BIM (Revit) programming languages and plugins is a plus.
  • Familiarity with clash detection utilizing Revit, Navisworks, and other 3D software is a plus.
