PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Owens Corning North American Technical Insulation (NATI) is the growth engine for Insulation division. Our Specialty Insulation business is driven to be the global leader in industrial insulation systems, working with engineers & owners to specify the best insulation systems for their application. Owen's Corning's Pool Fire Suppression (PFS) systems are a patented technology for Owens Corning, with existing installations in LNG facilities across the globe. The Breakthrough Initiative Leader (BIL) PFS will deliver our long-term growth by identifying industry needs, customer backed innovation opportunities, and go to market needs to expand our commercial pipeline. Once identified, the BIL supports implementing the initiative in collaboration with our Regional Sales Leaders (RSL), global marketing & technical service teams. The BIL ensures compliance and regulatory systems throughout all processes. BIL is measured on building & executing the long-range plan (LRP) for this initiative, with heavy influence on near term resourcing & growth ambition.

Span of Control: 0 Direct Reports; Collaborates with Marketing Leaders, Regional Sales Leaders, and Directors

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify & deliver new growth initiatives: Responsible for developing and executing the Long Range Plan (LRP) for one of our critical above market growth initiative, Pool Fire Suppression (PFS) System. Resulting in expanded commercial pipeline and prioritized objectives including and not limited to the following:

  • Identify new ways to drive the business model, increasing pipeline & win rate.
  • Validate and scope-out market opportunities.
  • Connect with customers and internal stakeholders to identify improvements with business case logic.
  • Research and analyze data to identify efficiencies or synergies leading to growth.

Implement growth initiatives into our daily systems.

  • Develop change management and processes to impact daily activities of stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Leaders, Strategic Marketing Directors, Key Account Managers and Directors.
  • Prioritize Research & Development (R&D) investment based on feedback from customers to support growth.
  • Drive compliance and regulatory of all existing and new initiatives:
    • Example: maintaining compliance through new PFS system implementation

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Sales/Marketing, Engineering, or Business Management preferred.
  • Experience with value co-creation and/or Key Account Management.
  • Commercial pipeline development experience, global & highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional global teams through complex projects.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and managing a business initiative resulting in growth for the company.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • P&L and profitability analysis.
  • Knowledge of construction industry & fire safety compliance codes standards (FEMSA, NFPA, UL, EN etc.)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and statistical analysis software.
  • Critical-thinking capability to develop strategy and problem solve.
  • Organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
  • Outside-In or Creative thinker.
  • Excellent analytical skills with data to drive problem solving.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders internally and externally.
    • Asset management; Manage internal objectives for Science & Technology and Marketing
    • Identify and influence industry pull and demand
