Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • * Investigate quality issues on Genesis, Hyundai & KIA vehicles related to division KPI, affiliates and HMG
  • * Schedule investigation with affiliates, publish plan and report findings
  • Conduct warranty analysis of current models to provide continuous engineering support, identify problems, conduct root cause analysis, and present summary of findings with clear & accurate reports
  • * Conduct on-site investigations to identify duplicate incident condition & capture accurate conditions
  • * Capture customers' subjective concern and report with accurate objective data with repeatable condition
  • Work with internal & external systems to have an accurate understanding of 'Perceived and Emotional Quality' in North America.
    • Review, verify, and track countermeasure effectiveness
    • Support & ensure department achievement of department KPI
  • * Perform benchmark studies which includes paper and actual vehicle reviews
  • Lead vehicle platform auditing and investigate field issues related to telematics / infotainment
  • Working knowledge Vector CANalyzer, INCA, X-ray machine & oscilloscope is a plus
  • Working knowledge of NHTSA, Nationwide Automotive Syndicated studies, & Social Media is a plus
  • Working knowledge with vehicle auxiliary (12V) and EV battery system is a plus
  • Experience in ADAS or autonomous vehicle logic and on road testing is a plus
  • Experience in Infotainment system is a plus
  • Travel up to 40% of time domestic and international
  • Fluent in Korean language is a plus

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2~5 years of work experience in automotive industry is preferred
  • Must be able to instrument various data acquisition systems to capture data
  • Self-starter with automotive background to solve various problems with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge with Microsoft Excel & Power Point
  • Ability to work hands-on with vehicle & electronic systems
  • Experience with current automotive technology trend (example: basic understanding of Autonomous driving)
  • Valid Driver's License and Satisfactory Driving Record
