What you will be doing

Under the general direction of the IT Internal Audit Lead or other member of management, the Senior IT Internal Auditor is responsible for performing internal IT audits and projects that help the business achieve its financial, IT and operational objectives through identifying control weaknesses and/or process improvements. The role requires the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects using strong analytical skills, flexibility and ingenuity. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required in this position.

  • Interacts with all levels of company associates and executives, outside client representatives, vendors, and other business-related representatives to gain an understanding of business processes.

  • Performs IT audit throughout all three phases of the project; planning, execution, reporting and other related activities, including but not limited to developing the engagement Risk Assessment, and conducting opening/closing meetings.

  • Ensures IT audit fieldwork work and findings are adequately documented (in compliance with IIA and departmental standards, with minimal supervision).

  • Prepares an IT audit report which effectively communicates the IT audit results, making necessary revisions in a timely manner.

  • Assists the IT Internal Audit Lead with oral and written presentations to mid-level management in discussing deficiencies during and at the conclusion of the audit.

  • Works closely with the IT departments, Internal Controls, Office of Compliance, Operations, and Business areas in resolving IT and operational control issues.

  • Assists on internal departmental projects, as assigned (i.e., major initiatives, Internal Quality Assessments, internal audit related training, etc.)

  • Coordinates multiple tasks; recommends improvements to department initiatives.

  • Actively participates in making the Internal Audit Department a respected and valued partner within the organization.

  • Maintains current knowledge of matters impacting IT, Cencora, and the pharmaceutical industry

  • Expected travel, approximately 10%

What your background should look like

  • Requires broad training in fields such as Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other IT-related vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year Bachelor's Degree.

  • CISA, CISSP, CIPP, PMP, or CFE or MBA or Masters in Information Security and Cybersecurity is desirable.

  • Normally requires a minimum of seven (7) years directly related IT audit and progressively responsible experience.

  • Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic and changing environment that strives to exceed expectations

  • Ability to reason logically, analyze data presented, evaluate the impact of information collected, and draw appropriate conclusions

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with various level of management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices

  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail

  • Knowledge in relevant information technology field such as, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Windows 0365, databases (Oracle, SQL), Cloud Services, 3rd Party hosted services, Patch Management, Application Development, SDLC, Project Management, Firewalls, Business Continuity, and IT Operations. Experience working with ERP systems is a plus (e.g. SAP)
