Colliers Engineering & Design is currently seeking a Project Manager, or higher level, to join our growing Water Resources team in Ohio!
Water is the most plentiful, yet critical resource on the planet. Responsibilities
* Prepare effective work plans and man-hour budgets for approval by department manager.
* Monitor time schedules and capital cost budgets on projects to satisfy the client as well as control work and productivity.
* Prepare advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
* Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
* Participates in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing support, including business development.
* Identify the project team, work packages and tasks, evaluation methods, productivity targets, schedule of deliverables, and man power needed on projects.
* Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.
* Review monthly man-hour and cost reports to ensure projects are being completed at the pre-determined goal.
* Solicit help and involvement from managers to troubleshoot any technical problems.
* Mentor junior staff in learning sound technical and business practices, and enhancing corporate objectives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering is required.
* 8+ years of related work experience is required.
* Current OH licensure or the ability to become licensed is required.
* Prior experience with Ohio DNR and public/private dams is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of Ohio state regulations.
* Ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients.
* Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis or geotechnical analysis in stability evaluations and seepage analyses.
* Prior experience with preparing proposals, developing budgets, tracking budgets and the associated financial management skills necessary to run a team and monitor the performance of the business.
* Previous mentoring and coaching experience is a plus.
