Job Description

Basic Job Functions:

  • Provides IT implementation services and technical support for various business applications and databases. Work with senior members of the team shadowing them with system and database administration tasks and gain the confidence to function independently.
    • High school diploma or GED

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related discipline is a plus.
  • No minimum years of work experience required. Previous experience in a IT help desk, and/or internship situation a plus.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Knowledge of business applications, and database systems such as Microsoft SQL a plus
  • Experience in manufacturing systems and business best practices a plus.
  • Experience in incident and change management processes.
  • Proficient use of all Microsoft Office suite programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and tasks simultaneously, whether working independently or with other people.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate status effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Experience in documenting processes, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience in working in 24/7 manufacturing or utilities operation a plus.
  • Proven interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new software technologies in a shorter time span and become productive.
  • Ability to train users.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Gain exposure to various databases that are hosted on-premises and on Cloud and support them in the capacity of entry level database administrator.
  • Gain exposure to various business applications that are hosted on-premises and on Cloud and support them in the capacity of entry level system administrator.
  • Go through necessary training, and shadowing to develop the necessary skill set to function as a database and system administrator.
  • Gain exposure to software maintenance lifecycle and level-3 support procedures.
  • Work with the rest of the team to ensure team sites are maintained with up-to-date documentation for knowledge, support process and procedures repository.
  • Other IT related work as assigned.

Reporting Relationships:

  • This position will report to Senior IT Manager.
  • This position will not have any direct reports.

Travel:

  • 0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)

Estimated Salary Range:

  • Estimated Salary Range (HR will complete this portion. Include "hourly" or "annually" after the amount.)

US Physical Requirements:

  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis.
  • Will lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
  • All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair).

Office Physical Requirements:
