The Role
We are seeking a passionate student with a keen interest in applied robotics, robotics visioning or similar field of study.

You will work within the MVS (Machine Vision Solutions) division of Atlas Copco Group and be a part of our Research and Development team. Supported by your mentor, sponsor, and colleagues, you will take part in various projects, managing certain projects yourself as well. We are looking for a robotics intern with strong software skills, analytical aptitude and keen interest in applied robotics and robotic visioning. Our ideal student should have practical experience with robot programming, 3D vision, MPC, AI, navigation and data structuring.

In this internship you will be working on advanced robotics vision integration including hands on experience with novel 3D imaging modes and development of predictive robotic control and guidance algorithms.

Our internship is designed to challenge students outside of their academic concentrations. You will take on real business-applicable challenges that our organization currently faces and provide true value back to our organization. You will experience some interesting challenges along your journey, all of which are intended to foster an internship experience you will likely not experience anywhere else.

The selected candidate for this position is invited to participate in Atlas Copco Group's Global Industrial Internship Program which will include professional training though our internal training academy and working with other international students on a team to prepare a business case. The conclusion of our internship experience includes all students participating in the global program to travel to Stockholm Sweden to present their business case to our Global Group Executive Team.
What we expect of you?
* You are currently in the middle of your bachelor or master's program within the Engineering, Robotics, industrial automation, or comparable field of study.
* You have a keen interest in technology, within Robotics and Machine Visioning.
* You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* You have basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Tools (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
* You work independently, responsibly and have a great willingness to learn.
* You have experience either through course work or work experience using ROS Framework, C++ or Python, MATLAB/Simulink and Linux operating systems configurations including Ubuntu.
