Job Summary:

Plans, manages, and coordinates the design, development, and opening of new and remodeled Comfort Studios and Branded Spaces in accordance with budget, project timeline and scope, due diligence processes, project timeline and project execution. Provides direction related to key project schedule information, resource needs, and day-to-day work schedules to the Interior Design Manager and Designers. This role will work closely with Store Design, Sr. and Regional Sales Vice Presidents, Account Executives, cross functional team members and External Partners.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates Comfort Studios and Branded Space projects (new, remodel and special projects) schedule, work quality and timely completion of deliverables; update forecasting milestones as necessary, providing updates to key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compiles all necessary information based on Comfort Studio and Branded Space project Scope of Work for complete project execution by design team. This entails collection of project requirements, executing project review, preparation of store documentation and drawings meeting the company's standards.
  • Performs store location site visits as needed to assess project scope and needs to support Brand, ascertain project status and/or adherence to plans and LZB standards.
  • Responsible for issue identification, escalation to management as well as report out of such issues and their resolution
  • Oversees vendor quotes to ensure accuracy and timely delivery of purchased items.
  • Complete project closeout reporting for key stakeholders and other team members.

SCOPE & IMPACT:

Oversees the project management for the design and Brand implementation for the network of Comfort Studios and Branded Space projects comprised of international retail locations, the network of 500+ Comfort Studios and 1500+ National Account and General Dealer locations. The results of the work done in this role have direct impact on project cost requiring keen attention to details and potential issues due to the financial implications of missed sales to both dealers and LZB if deadlines are missed, errors made. Additional impact to the overall sales for locations may be impacted based upon delays or issues. The US based Comfort Studio and Branded Spaces represent approx. $500+ million in sales. Completion thereof supports company and dealer growth and sales initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field with 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Competency in planning and tracking
  • Ability to support multiple projects, prioritize competing demands and apply risk mitigation to get back on track require.
  • Successful project management skills
  • Excellent organization, follow through, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to tailor communications style to multiple audiences
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
  • AutoCAD
  • Travel: Up to 20%
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Microsoft Project and/or other data driven project management software

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:Operates in a professional office environment as well as inside and outside environmental conditions. Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb stairs, climb ladders, kneel, squat, crouch, balance, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 30 pounds.
