Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician (Process Focused)

You will be a part of the post-fabrication wafer processing team, operating equipment that processes, inspects, and tests optoelectronic wafers and devices. Direct experience is preferred but not required! You should have a strong attention to detail and the ability to perform precision work on small/fragile products.

In this role you will:

  • Adhere to all processes and procedures.
  • Learn and grow by achieving multiple processing qualifications. On-the-job training will be provided.
  • Set up and operate wafer processing equipment and testing equipment per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Interpret test data and determine pass/fail results.
  • Work in a team environment to meet measurable production goals.
  • Accurately pass down production status to colleagues and input production tracking updates into tracking software/spreadsheets.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner, supporting Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two-year degree in a technical field.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with statistical software such as Minitab / JMP is a plus.
  • Ability to collect and analyze complex test data and present results / recommendations.
  • At least two years of experience performing semiconductor wafer processing, printed circuit board manufacturing, or electronic device assembly. Testing experience is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technology manufacturing environment.
  • Support a day shift work schedule and overtime as required. Evening shift opportunities may also become available after completing training and qualification.


General:

  • Must be driven to produce quality results.
  • Must be able to follow detailed procedures and instructions.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to multitask and work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to stand/walk at least 70% of the time during any one shift.
  • Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment wearing company-provided cleanroom frock, gloves, hair cover, and face mask.
  • Must be fluent in English, written & verbal.
