Job Description:

Microchip's Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discretes BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discretes BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Wafer Fabrication Equipment Tech IV. The right candidate will repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in the wafer fabrication manufacturing process, or any other duties, as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 year of experience in the repair and maintenance of wafer fabrication manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to repair electro-mechanical equipment or assemblies.
  • Ability to perform PM and general maintenance on wafer fabrication manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.
  • Experience in the use of multimeters, soldering irons and mechanical tools.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to use MS Office.
  • Ability to interface with parts or service vendors.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics.
  • Experience with high vacuum systems, metal deposition, etch, diffusion, photo lithography, or RF equipment.
  • Strong mechanical skills.
  • Machine shop experience.
